I think smiling is as important as sunshine. Smiling is like sunshinebecause it can make people happy and have a good day. If you aren’t happy, youcan smile, and then you will feel happy. Someone may say, “But I don’t feelhappy.” Then I would say, “Please smile as you do when you are happy or playwith your friends happily. You will really be happy again.”

You don’t like crying, right? So you must prefer smiling, because you knowsmiling will let people forget everything unhappy. Every day, we see teachers orstudents and say, “Hi/Hello! How are you?” At the same time, you are smiling,right?

Smiling can let you have more friends. With a smile, people will knowyou’re a kind person. They will talk with you, so you will have more and morefriends.

So I say, smiling is like a flower, the sunshine, warmth. It will give youhappiness.

You want to know the changes about my hometown. You know, great changeshave taken place since 60 years ago.

In the past, the living conditions were very poor. There were not manybuses or cars, and the roads were narrow. Usually, a big family was crowded intoa small, dark house. Most families couldn’t get enough food. The communicationswere simple and slow. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives faraway mainly by letter or telegram.

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recentyears. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads arewide. Some people have their own cars. Most of the people live in big newhouses. Quite a few adults have mobile phones. I think our lives will becomebetter and better because of many good policies.
